EteleSolv Signs Expanded Telecom Expense Management Agreement with RBC Financial Group
EteleSolv has signed a new multi-year agreement with RBC Financial Group to incorporate the bank’s data services into the extensive portfolio of telecom assets currently managed by EteleSolv’s software solution TeleManager.
July 25, 2008 - MONTREAL, QC – EteleSolv, a telecom expense management (TEM) software provider, announced today an expanded agreement with RBC Financial Group, Canada’s leading financial institution. Under the terms of this new multi-year agreement, EteleSolv’s patent-pending TEM software solution, TeleManager, will now manage the entirety of the bank’s telecom assets and expenses for both voice and data communications.
In 2006, RBC Financial Group selected TeleManager to handle its 80,000 voice assets related to wireless, wireline and VoIP communications. TeleManager generates significant savings for the bank by automating all major business processes related to invoicing, inventory control and service request flow for voice assets. The new agreement will integrate the banks data services into TeleManager.
The bank will reap substantial new savings by automating labour-intensive processes related to managing data services. “One of the most time consuming activities for IT managers is assessing their current network in view of engaging new services. TeleManager will greatly simplify this task for RBC Financial Group by enabling managers to issue full reports of the bank’s network hardware components and related data services according to division, office location, cost center, department or employee,” stated Vincent Parisien, EteleSolv Vice-President of Operations. Mr. Parisien explained that the crucial information contained in these reports is readily available because TeleManager establishes and automatically maintains an accurate inventory. “The bank will have the ability to detail its network from any angle and any given time. This will save the company hours in manual analysis,” he added.
In addition, TeleManager will now centralize service order management for the bank’s data services. Moves, Adds, Changes and Disconnects (MACD) made to items such as IP addresses, domain names or access IDs will be completed and traced through a single interface. TeleManager will act as a multi-directional data central between RBC Financial Group and its services providers. “Centralizing MACD activity will significantly reduce data entry, email communication, and transactional errors, and it will ensure that all modifications to the network are reflected in incoming invoices. This will largely contribute to the bank reducing its overall telecom expenses,” said Mr. Parisien.
“TeleManager is particularly attractive to financial institutions. Their highly regulated and constantly changing environment increases the need for internal controls and accurate reporting all while maintaining flexible business processes. TeleManager is a highly automated and scalable solution designed to address these requirements,” stated EteleSolv President Christopher Thierry.
Full integration of RBC Financial Group’s data services into TeleManager is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2008.
